Free Flight will be making two major changes this month, to take effect Monday, May 16th, 2016.
1) Change in Daily Hours
Free Flight's new hours will be as follows: 11 AM - 4 PM daily (except Wednesdays, 11 AM - 2 PM)
Over the recent years, Free Flight has happily seen a steady increase in visitors. Due to this influx, we find it necessary to add an extra hour of private rest and relaxation time to our flock's day. Additionally, this will make it easier for staff and volunteers to ensure the maintenance of a sheltering, nurturing and enriching environment for them. While our mission to educate and inspire the public will always hold firm, our birds must always come first.
2) Increase in Admission
Free Flight will be increasing admission from $5/adult $2/child to $7/adult and $3/child. This will also affect our annual membership fees.
Our admission remains a major source of our annual support as a non-profit organization. While we realize that many guests have grown accustomed to our pricing, we are adapting to changing times. Due to the increases in costs associated with running the sanctuary we must increase the admission to compensate. The last time we raised admission was 2006 and we have faced a lot of change since then!
