Mandy was brought to Free Flight in 2010 after he was found flying around Del Mar as a baby. Originally thought to be a female (his black ring hadn’t grown in yet), he was named Mandy and learned to repeat it quickly. As an especially intelligent bird with some high maintenance health demands and newly worsened plucking habits, Mandy will require an experienced and attentive owner. Mandy spent many years in our Outreach program, traveling to schools and community events to share the wonder of parrots with others - now he is looking for a quieter life, with perhaps fewer young children.
