Sammy came to us after he was surrendered to a local avian veterinarian and needed somewhere to go. He’s an introverted fella who’s not-too-sure about fingers - but he’s more than happy to grab a tasty snack from an offered food bowl! Sammy is a special member of our flock because, as a mitred conure, he’s an ambassador for the naturalized parrot species you can find flying freely here in San Diego! We love introducing visitors to his distinctive call. Once you’ve heard Sammy, you’ll soon start noticing other conures throughout the county!
